HB 193 / G.S. 14-269.2 Educational Property Law Compliance Training for Faith-Based Schools & Church Security Teams

Churches and faith-based schools have a responsibility to remain welcoming places of worship while also protecting the people who gather there.

North Carolina law now allows certain authorized employees and volunteers of nonpublic schools to carry firearms on educational property when specific legal requirements are met. The 9-Hour Church Safety & Armed Staff Readiness Course prepares church leadership and designated staff to meet those responsibilities with competence, accountability, and professionalism.

This program provides the training foundation required under North Carolina law, along with the practical safety skills needed to responsibly serve on a church or faith-based school safety team.
